Experiences from the Medicine Room
Every healing session is unique.
The experiences shared on this page are actual sessions from my perspective as a practitioner while guiding clients through the Medicine Room. They are shared to provide insight into how a session may unfold and to illustrate that no two healing experiences are ever the same.
Every person's healing journey is unique, and these experiences are not intended to predict or guarantee what another person's session will be like.
Session One
The Importance of Being Open to Receiving
One healing session taught me a valuable lesson about the importance of being open to receiving.
Before we began, the client gave permission for the healing session. However, once I entered the Medicine Room, I immediately began encountering resistance.
I tried several different healing approaches, but each time I felt as though I had reached a wall. No matter which direction I took, the healing simply would not move forward.
After several attempts, I made the difficult decision to end the session early.
The client smiled and said,
"Well, that was the fastest healing session I've ever had."
I gently explained that although permission had been given, I felt they were not truly open to receiving the healing. Permission alone is not always enough. Healing is most effective when there is both permission and a willingness to receive.
That experience reinforced something I now share with every client: coming to your session with an open mind and an open heart is one of the most important parts of the healing process.
Session Two
When the Medicine Room Took Me by Surprise
One session remains one of the most remarkable experiences I have had in the Medicine Room.
The client shared that she had been feeling surrounded by heavy or unwanted energy. She was also experiencing several major life changes, including her mother moving into her home and preparing to move to another country while trying to sell her house.
Although she had already experienced one healing session and was feeling better, she still felt that something was weighing heavily on her.
As the session began, I guided her into the Medicine Room and placed her on the healing bed.
I then felt guided to move her into another room within the Medicine Room. It was a room made entirely of glass, allowing me to continue the healing while clearly observing what was taking place.
As the healing unfolded, I experienced a series of powerful symbolic images unlike anything I had encountered before.
The atmosphere felt extremely heavy, and I sensed there was more work to do before the healing could continue.
I filled the room with love and light, and although the energy began to shift, I still felt something remained.
Then another presence appeared, bringing with it an overwhelming feeling of peace and light.
As the session continued, I became aware of additional heavy energy surrounding the room. In the Medicine Room, I found myself holding two crystal staffs. I turned toward that energy and firmly declared that it was no longer welcome and needed to leave.
Although the energy felt resistant, I suddenly knew I needed to incorporate the Compassion Key into the session.
The moment I did, everything changed.
The room became brighter.
The atmosphere became peaceful.
The heaviness lifted.
I sensed the client's heart becoming lighter and calmer, and the entire feeling of the session transformed.
It was one of those experiences that reminded me that every healing session is unique. Even after many sessions, the Medicine Room continues to surprise me and deepen my understanding of the healing journey.
A Final Thought
One of the greatest joys of this work is that no two sessions are ever alike.
Every person brings their own life experiences, intentions, and healing journey into the Medicine Room. As a practitioner, I continue learning from every session I have the privilege to facilitate.
I look forward to sharing additional experiences from the Medicine Room as my practice continues to grow.
